Maya Broadwater

Maya Broadwater is a junior at the University of Miami majoring in broadcast journalism with a minor in political science. She is the lead reporter and technical director for UMTV’s NewsVision, a weekly live news show covering local, headline, and campus news. She is also a former NBC TODAY Show intern. In the future, Maya hopes to be a correspondent for a major network focusing on business and political news. Maya is adamant about making sure the media she consumes is factually correct so when she heard about the MediaWise Campus Correspondents program, she knew she wanted to get involved and help students across the country increase their media literacy.
