Lauren Yang Brown

Lauren Yang Brown is a fourth-year student at the University of Oregon, majoring in journalism and minoring in political science. She is the fact-checking editor for Ethos Magazine, the University of Oregon’s independent student-run quarterly magazine, and copy editor for the Daily Emerald, UO’s independent student-run weekly newspaper. She is also an editorial intern for Made Trade Magazine, a sustainable lifestyle and fashion magazine, where she will be working throughout the summer and school year. In her free time, Lauren likes to meditate, volunteer at her local animal shelter, and play Animal Crossing: New Horizons while listening to true-crime podcasts. Lauren hopes to one day work at a magazine or news publication where she can write and tell people’s stories.
