Since February, media business reporter Angela Fu has been reporting on problems at The Buffalo News, a newspaper that had until recently avoided the worst of the cuts and cost-saving measures seen across the news industry.

In a new story published yesterday on the Poynter website, titled “The Buffalo News was the crown jewel of Warren Buffett’s news empire. Now it’s just another Lee paper,” Fu recounts the cuts and turmoil at the paper during its ownership under Lee Enterprises.

We’ll be going behind the story in a Twitter Spaces next week with Fu and Poynter managing editor and Buffalo native Ren LaForme, moderated by audience engagement producer Annie Aguiar.

Set a reminder now to join us next Wednesday, April 26 at 4 p.m. Eastern. If you don’t have a Twitter account, you can listen on desktop at Poynter’s Twitter.
