Teen Fact-Checking Network

The MediaWise Teen Fact-Checking Network is a virtual newsroom made up of middle and high schoolers who use social media to debunk viral misinformation and share media literacy tips. The TFCN, which pairs media literacy tips with fact-checks, has been a verified signatory of the International Fact-Checking Network’s code of principles since 2020. Through a partnership with PBS NewsHour Student Reporting Labs launched in 2022, millions of teachers throughout the U.S. can access lesson plans based on the work of MediaWise’s Teen Fact-Checking Network.
